Patrick Lee Mo Lin

Patrick Lee Mo Lin is the Managing Director of Estera Management (Mauritius) Limited, Estera Trust
(Mauritius) Limited and Estera Corporate Services (Seychelles) Limited
. Having joined Appleby in 2007, he focuses principally on company administration, client accounting, fund accounting, Mauritius tax services, new service development and project management. He has more than eleven years of experience in international business and has worked on various company formations, structures and transactions involving investment funds, hedge funds, private equity funds, trading companies and technological development entities.

Patrick has contributed to various publications, including the BNA International Global Tax Guide issued by BNA International, which provides a complete set of information on the economic features of Mauritius and on the tax regime in place. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He also attended the General Management Program for Executives, held at the National University of Singapore in 2006. Patrick speaks both English and French.

Karl von Klitzing

Karl von Klitzing is a Principal Project Manager at KfW Development Bank with more than 15 years of development banking experience gained in Sub-Saharan and North-Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. He has substantial experience in capital markets and in structuring debt and equity investments in the financial sector in addition to renewable energy and energy efficiency financing expertise. Before joining KfW he has worked with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London and Belgrade. Karl holds an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University SAIS, Washington DC, and an MA in Modern History and Political Science from Humboldt University, Berlin.

Pinpin Kweton

Pinpin Kweton is the Operations Director of Estera Management (Mauritius) Limited. She joined Appleby Law
firm in November 2007 and subsequently moved to Estera Management (Mauritius) Limited in January 2016,
following the management buyout of Appleby’s fiduciary business.
She is currently responsible for the Operations and Finance Departments of Estera Mauritius, Seychelles and Hong Kong. Her experience includes assessing and implementing accounting and internal controls and preparing financial reports. Prior to joining Estera, Pinpin was employed with another fiduciary company for over six years and worked three years as an auditor for Deloitte Mauritius.

Vitalis Ritter

Vitalis is a Principal Project Manager at KfW structuring debt and equity investments in renewable energy-finance, microfinance and SME-finance. He holds several Board and Investment Committee positions in global and regional investment funds and banks. Previously he has worked as Principal Risk Manager in Securitization and Structured Products. He holds a Master’s in Applied Financial Mathematics.

Jonathan Segal

Jonathan is Chairman of the Investment Committee of the ALCB Fund, in addition to his full-time position as Head of Capital Markets for the Middle East & Africa, at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International, Dubai.

Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in capital markets and investment roles, working for Deutsche Bank, Barclays, Renaissance Capital, Gazprombank and MUSI. He has advised Sovereigns, SOEs, financial institutions and private sector corporates on their debt financing requirements in a range of markets, and on risk management and related products. Jonathan has substantial experience in Africa, having worked in South Africa regularly since 1999 and executed 5 major financings totalling USD7bn; and acted as Financial Adviser to Nigeria’s DMO in respect of Nigeria’s debut $500mn sovereign bond in January 2011. Jonathan has travelled extensively across West Africa, East Africa, and Southern Africa as part of his roles at Barclays, Renaissance, MUSI and the ALCB Fund.

Jonathan graduated from Cambridge University with an MA in Modern Languages; speaks fluent French, German and Spanish; and is a CFA Charter holder.

Douglas Philip Buyskes

Philip is currently the CEO of Frontclear. Prior to establishing Frontclear in 2015, Philip was Vice President at The Currency Exchange Fund which he joined in 2008. From 2004 to 2008 Philip was an Investment Officer at the Development Bank of Southern Africa.  Prior to DBSA, Philip worked at the European Institute of Public Administration in Maastricht, The Netherlands. He holds a Master in International Business from Maastricht University and is FRM certified. In 2014 Philip completed Harvard Business School’s comprehensive leadership program, the Program for Leadership Development.
